Cageless Ad Re-design

Assignment:
Redesign a yellow pages ad into a full 9" x 12" magazine ad, but also swap out an expected visual code with one that may be unexpected, but makes brilliant sense.

My Redesign:

For my ad I chose the "Home of the Cageless Boarding" news paper ad. The visual code that I switched it out with was the visual code of a children's book. The thought behind this is that people often treat their pets as their first child. Because of this I got the idea of making this ad in the visual code of a child's book.
